By concentrating on rental, Mobell offers a service tailored specifically to its customer's requirements. With offices in Europe, the USA and Asia, Mobell is able to provide dedicated support.
1:
Q: Will my European GSM phone work in the USA?
A: Possibly. The GSM networks in the USA operate on a different frequency to the European GSM networks. It may be possible to use your GSM SIM card in a GSM1900 handset. However, due to limited coverage, Mobell recommends an American phone.
2:
Q: How is the phone delivered and collected?
A: Normally by next-day courier. In the UK this would be City Link or TNT in most cases. In the US, it would normally be FedEx.
3:
Q: How much do international calls cost?
A: Please visit our call charges page for a full listing.
4:
Q: How do I terminate a rental?
A: When you have finished with your phone simply ring our offices and quote your phone number. We will terminate the rental contract and arrange for the phone to be collected.
5:
Q: Can I have same day delivery?
A: Yes, although there may be a surcharge for this depending on the location of the delivery point.
6:
Q: Can you deliver outside the UK?
A: If you're travelling to North America or Japan, Mobell can arrange for your phone to be delivered to your destination at no extra cost.
7:
Q: Can I open a credit account with Mobell?
A: Yes, if applying on behalf of a company, please submit your request and when your details are verified, your account should be open within a week.
8:
Q: I want to rent more than one phone, how much does that cost?
A: Mobell offer preferential rates for multiple orders. Please contact us for more details.
9:
Q: Will bad weather affect use of a satellite phone?
A: You can use a satellite phone in most types of weather conditions, although heavy rain or snow may cut down the signal strength from the satellite
10:
Q: Can you transmit data or faxes with a Inmarsat mini-M?
A: Yes. The built-in modem in the Inmarsat mini-M allows you to connect your computer via an RS-232 port and provides data and fax transmission but at a slow speed of 2.4Kbps.
